Budapest part one


I had the opportunity to visit Budapest with some friends.  The city was so gorgeous that I fell in love with it almost immediately. Great architectural achievements, delightful walks by the Danube, lovely atmosphere and fun are some of the many things it offers. My favourite spots/buildings were Heroes' Square, St. Stephen Basilica, the Museum of Applied Arts and Matthias Church. Favourite moments - sightseeing the magnificent city by night on boat and later from the Sziget Eye. Loved the delicious cherry soup. And I was amazed that poppy seed is such a popular taste. This lively city has so many different sides to explore. So saying goodbye after only a week was pretty hard.
